I am very excited to be running for Term 2, 2023 a ‘Talk for Writing’ unit based upon ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’ written by Judith Kerr.
This 8 week unit of work for Years 1 – 2 will be held in a homeschooling environment for a small group of homeschoolers. At this stage, there will only be 8 spots available. The 8 x 1 hour writing sessions will be held on a Wednesday each week. With this writing workshop, your child will:
- orally rehearse the model text
- learn the structure of a meeting tale
- improve their grammar skills
- engage in drama and activities to stimulate creativity
- explore writing tools and utilise these tools to enhance their writing
- participate in shared writing and independent writing
- receive their own ‘Magpie Journal’ of their own to keep
- directly improve their reading skills and vocabulary
Notes will be provided each week on this website.
Cost is $20 each session for a total of 8 sessions.
Proposed time: 12:30 – 1:30 at a homeschooling home in Wellard.
First Workshop begins on May 3rd with the last workshop held on 21st June.
